We are all human, which essentially means we are all built of the same DNA and come equipped with the same battery of emotions, beliefs, ways of thinking about things etc. We are part of the soup that has created brilliant leaders and despairing souls. I cannot be anything that you cannot be; simply because I am human. I can’t react to something so different than anyone else because I am not alien. I am human. So, it is not that we lack the means to achieve certain things for ourselves– we all have it in us to change, to believe– it is that we lack the courage to think that we can be something more than what we are now. When you start to believe that you have the same DNA and the same potential as Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., and so on, then how can you not believe in YOU? These individuals were here on earth for reasons other than their greatness. They were here to evoke their humanness, their ordinariness, and remind us that we are no different. We are all made of the same stock, which means you have it in you to believe in yourself. You just need to find it within you, and use it!
